– Opportunities and Challenges Facing Travel Retail in the Nordic and Baltic Region


Distinguished Speakers Confirmed

Former Prime Minister of Sweden (2006-2014), Fredrik Reinfeldt, is the keynote speaker at the upcoming Nordic Travel Retail Seminar in Helsinki 8 June. Mr. Reinfeldt will address the ongoing political and economical fredrik-reinfeldt-ange-fotograf-peter-knutson-arkiv-talarforum3changes and share with us a high level perspective based on more than 25 year’s of experience with international politics.

Mr. Reinfeldt is spearheading what will become an exclusive speaker line-up, and we are happy to also announce Mr. Kjell A. Nordström to be the closing keynote this year again. Mr. Nordström carried away the attendees at NTRS 2016 in Stockholm, and now he is invited to take us even further into the future of changes, opportunities and challenges. Kjell A. Nordström is a Swedish a guru of the new world of business. In 2009 he made it into Thinkers 50.

ETRC Secretary General Keith Spinks will talk about Brexit and its impact upon duty free sales and the scale of the opportunity.

Former Finnair COO and Deputy CEO Ville Iho will talk about the future of the airlines in the travel ecosystem. Iho has served the aviation industry for 20 years and seen it evolve from protected locally driven industry to open and highly competitive business where ever demanding global customers set the tone. Ville has as the COO and deputy CEO had a key role in transforming Finnair from marginal regional player to its’ current form and role. He’s going to share some unique insights from the industry which continues to be critical for the travel ecosystem and which still awakes lot of emotions.

Jessica Lee (CEO, Jelladin International Pte) and Hannes Koch (Managing Director, Travel Retail Cooperation) are confirmed speakers for NTRS 2017. Together they will talk about the Asian travelling shopper. Together Jessica Lee and Hannes Koch hold significant experience and insight regarding Travel Retail with an Asian perspective and they are deeply engaged into targeting the Chinsumers most efficiently when they travel.

The moderator of NTRS 2017 will be Dermot Davitt, Co-Owner and President at The Moodie Davitt Report.

When the moderator Dermot Davitt has concluded on the presentations and questions of the day shuttle buses will leave for Hotel Haven, Hotel Lilla Roberts and GLO Hotel Kluuvi. All hotels are situated in the Helsinki City Centre and close to the venue for the conference dinner at Restaurant Savoy.
