Member Meeting in Copenhagen

The next NTRG Member Meeting will take place in Copenhagen on Thursday 11 February.

The program includes:

1. A presentation on the WHO plans on alcohol and tobacco by Keith Spinks, ETRC Secretary General

2. An update on recent and before long changes in tax, duties and deposits in our region, by Director Anne-Mette Højriis from Ernst & Young.

3. A presentation on the development in the Cruise and Ferry business in Copenhagen Malmö Port by General Manager Arnt Møller Pedersen. CMP is the leading Northern European cruise ship port. Every year CMP is servicing more than 330 calls of cruise ships. More than 150 of those calls are turnarounds. This makes CMP the biggest and most important cruise destination in Northern Europe.

The meeting begins at 12.30 with a lunch and continues until 16.00 hrs.

The venue will be the DGI-byen Hotel in central Copenhagen, meeting room 3 in MEET IN ARTS.

The Mobile Channel is undergoing the same development as the internet did in the late 90ies. And the expectation is that the mobile channel will become more important to the users than the internet. Many companies have a “wait-and-see”-strategy for the mobile channel. But that might be dangerous. This presentation will show you all the already existing opportunities in mobile communication.

Niklas Gustafsson joined HUI in 2007. At HUI he focuses mainly on analysis of markets and consumer trends within retail, tourism, services and creative industries. He is working with all kinds of public and private companies and organizations in this role.

He has his early background in the tourism industry and he has done research at Stockholm Centre for Tourism Research. Before joining HUI Niklas worked with different aspects of research on markets and business development in his own company. He also worked with practical organizational and leadership development training as on his own and as associate consultant to Impact Development Training Group in the UK. Clients include (among others) Sony Electronics Europe, Sony DPP Europe, Swedish Match, Signa International and Aramark International.
