The Nordic Travel Retail Group welcomes everyone with a passion for travel to the 21st edition of the Nordic Travel Retail Seminar. This year we are heading to the heart of the Nordics in Stockholm 12 June.

Join us as we explore the theme Inside the mind of the modern consumer, A deep dive into a transforming retail industry accompanied by renowned experts that will take our knowledge on what drives today’s customers to the next level.

We kick off on shore at the magnificent Elite Hotel Marina Tower. Following the conference, we head to sea for a short boat ride to reach our conference dinner venue, the breathtaking SeaView, at vibrant restaurant Kajen Nacka Strand.

Speakers

Dr. Anders Hansen is an internationally recognized expert with a unique combination of medical and economic background. As a chief psychiatrist and economist from the Stockholm School of Economics, he has written bestselling books such as “The Real Happy Pill,” “The Screen Brain,” and “Health Prescription,” which have been translated into over 20 languages. Hansen’s extensive journalistic work, TedX lectures, and participation in programs like “Summer in P1” in 2019 have made him an influential voice in public health.

Lewis Allen has over 30 years of design consultancy experience in roles including company director, brand strategist, creative director and project designer. He specialises in design for travelling consumers and works to optimise the value of travel retail venues for passengers, brands and operators.  Lewis’s design process is customer driven, believing that customer-centric propositions and concepts will drive and add value. His design work with Portland Design learns from the new customer mindsets and emerging behaviours that could increase the value of future passenger journeys.

Lewis’s recent projects include Newark Airport Terminal A, JFK T1 & T4, Keflavik Airport, Stavanger, Bangalore and is currently working on King Salman International Airport, Riyadh.

Sara Wimmercranz is a Swedish investor and entrepreneur from Älmhult in Småland, also known as one of the dragons from SVT s Draknästet. Sara has co-founded Footway and held key positions in companies such as LensWay, earning her titles as one of Sweden’s most powerful businesswomen and most influential tech investors. Sara is an eloquent advocate who is determined to harness technology to protect our planet. As a founding member of the BackingMinds team, Sara’s passion and expertise help fuel the dreams of the next generation of innovators.

Stephen Hillam founded Pi Insight in early 2019 to provide research, insight & data solutions to the travel retail industry, after having previously held senior positions at leading travel retail industry consultancies,

At Pi Insight, Stephen leads a team of experienced travel retail insight specialists. With extensive experience of multiple research and data processing techniques, Pi Insight works with global brands, retailers, and industry associations, delivering insight and clear strategic direction across a wide range of industry themes.

In addition to travel retail, Stephen also specializes in packaging development and holds degrees from the University of Hull and the University of Northampton in the UK.

Further, a panel debate will discuss the future of travel retail. Avolta SVP Commercial Duty-free Joakim Hörnfeldtkicks off the session with a global perspective. Followed by a short Q&A, regional outlooks will be discussed by Cecilia Alenfelt (Fjord Line), Helle Kjær (Airshoppen) and more participants (To be announced). The debate is moderated by Dermot Davitt.
